Swing-Down style bicycle rack capable of holding 2 to 4 bicycles safely on 2" Class III or IV hitch receivers. Secures bicycles from 50" to 76" long with tires up to 2-1/4" wide. Includes 8 velcro straps to secure bicycles and 4 bike frame locks to help hold bicycles firmly in place. Does not include hitch pin.
- Secures 2-4 bicycles for vehicle transport using a 2" Class III/IV hitch receiver
- Swings down for rear hatch/tailgate access when unloaded

The positive is that the bikes are very secure in the rack regardless of what type of bike it is. The negative is that it fits very loosely in the hitch and there is much more movement of the rack than we anticipated. Seems like there should be a way to make it more stable. One day one of the slides (4 on double carrier, 8 on quadruple "piggyback" version) was loose and fell out while traveling down the road. Called Rage Powersports to make what is usually a routine replacement part purchase with any reputable equipment company. Rage rep on the phone said they don't sell replacement parts. You are out of luck. Too bad. Did not care a bit. A simple replacement part like one of those tubular steel sliding end pieces. I am going to throw my Rage Powersports carrier out and will never buy a Rage Powersports Product again. NEVER. |
