It features reinforced placement grooves set 8 ½" apart with protective rubber v-cups and oversized Velcro straps to optimize bike safety during transport. In addition to this, a reflector has been placed on the outward-most point of the rack to make sure that other drivers can see it. This rack features reinforced ¼" steel tubing with a black powder coat finish. It also has a pivoting elbow joint that can be secured with a steel pin allowing SUV and hatchback drivers to access their cars from the rear. To ensure that the rack does not wiggle in the hitch receiver, Yosemite Valley Gear has designed it with a threaded hitch pin permitting the user to tighten it when needed.
